How to Request Deletion

If you want to delete your FootTennis Club account and associated personal data, you can request deletion by contacting us through our contact page.

In your request, please include:

  • The email address associated with your account
  • A clear statement that you want your account deleted

We will process your request and confirm completion, typically within 30 days.

What Gets Deleted

When your account is deleted, we remove:

  • Your user account (name, email, password hash)
  • Your social login connections (Google, Facebook identity links)
  • Your club membership link (your player profile is detached from your account)
  • Any pending invitations you have sent or received

What May Be Retained

Foot tennis is a team sport, and match history is shared among all participants. To preserve the integrity of club records for other members, certain data may be retained in anonymized or detached form after account deletion:

  • Match results and team records — historical match outcomes are part of the club's shared history and may be retained with your player display name but without any link to your account
  • Rankings and rating history — past rating snapshots and ranking positions may remain as part of the club's statistical record
  • Attendance records — game night participation history may be retained for the club's records
  • Anonymous votes — teammate votes are already anonymous by design and contain no personally identifying information

In short: your account and personal data are deleted, but your player's contribution to the club's sports history is preserved in a detached, non-identifiable way. This is similar to how a player's stats remain in a league's record book even after they leave.

Club Owners

If you are a club owner and want your club deleted along with your account, please state this clearly in your deletion request. Deleting a club will affect all members of that club, so we may need to confirm this action separately.

If you only want your personal account removed but want the club to continue, ownership must be transferred to another member first.

Facebook and Google Users

If you signed in using Facebook or Google, deleting your FootTennis Club account removes the identity link we store. This does not affect your Facebook or Google account. To manage permissions granted to FootTennis Club:

Legal Retention

In limited cases, we may retain certain data beyond your deletion request if required by law (for example, billing records that must be kept for tax or accounting purposes). Any such retention will be limited to the minimum required and will not be used for other purposes.
